Description

   3D Wormhole simulates the effect of moving through a colorful, twisting, turning hole. In my opinion it looks really cool. It will run on any pentium, but a fast one is highly recommended. It requires win95 or better. Version 2.0 requires DirectX.

Features

  • Version 2.0 uses DirectX to synchronize its video writes to the display refresh.
  • It is very small.
  • It installs one 78k .scr file in your windows/system directory and places a tiny .ini file in your windows directory, nothing more.
  • It runs at the current screen resolution but attempts to change the color depth to 16bit to run faster (it changes everything back when it's finished).
  • Because some video cards default to 15bit and not 16bit hicolor, it supports both.
  • Version 2.0 is very customizeable.

       3D Wormhole is about a 73k download, which should take around 20-40 seconds to download on a 28.8 modem. Because Geocities doesn't allow exes on their servers, you will need Winzip to extract it before installing.
