More About Me
For those of you who have not met me or do not remember me.  My name is Duane Hemphill.  I was one of a group of seven faux Fahrnis from the US who attended the 2002 reunion.  We are all good friends of Leonard Fahrni Jr., who by the way is to blame for inviting all of us.  The four of us pictured below are part of a fun group of friends that gets together every Friday evening.  We fondly refer to ourselves as the FNSG (Friday Night Support Group).
The FNSG:  John Powers Jr., Yoko Iwahiro, Duane Hemphill and Leonard Fahrni
at the Farewell Dinner.
The rest of our non-Fahrni group at the reunion included: my mother Jean Hemphill and my sister  Joanna Binney, both from Iowa; Lea Ann Stewart a college friend from Illinois; and John and Georgene Powers, the parent's of John Jr., from Colorado.

By the way, I know I speak for all of us non-Fahrnis when I say that we all had a wonderful time at the reunion.  We thank Leonard and Mary Lou for inviting us, and we thank all the Fahrnis who helped in hosting, planning, tour guiding, and shuttling us around Switzerland.
We left Switzerland feeling as if we were Fahrnis.  In fact, my Mother is now insisting that I marry a Fahrni.  So Stefanie, Manuela, Karin.... watch out.
