Ed, the oldest, is almost 20 and will be starting his sophomore year at Le Moyne College in late August. He loves lacrosse and managed the varsity lacrosse team from eighth grade until he played as attack or midfield in his junior year of high school. He use to ump minor league little league. He became a soccer referree and loves it. He worked his senior year in high school at a local bank as part of a co-op program. Hopefully, he will be working at the bank on breaks from college also. Now that he has wheels and is on the road, life is a little more interesting. He joined Boy Scout Troop 201 and loves the things the troop does. While he did not make Eagle scout, he is now an adult member of the troop.
Andy is the first of the twins and is 17. He beat his sister into this world by 2 minutes and almost 2 pounds. He is big into football and lacrosse and spends his winter months keeping in shape for those two sports. He earned his Arrow of Light in March of 1998 but no longer attends Boy Scout meetings. He is definitely my sports fanatic as far as the boys are concerned: football in the fall, and lacrosse in the spring. Fall of 1999 his team was undefeated! He now plays Varsity football and his team is 2-0 for Fall 2004. He managed to take his road test in September of 2003 and is now a licensed driver. He is also working at the local Giant grocery store.
Elise is the younger of the twins but still 17. Much to my joy, she has stayed as petite as she was when she was born. She was active in Girl Scouts, but stopped attending meetings shortly after becoming a Cadette. She plays the violin quite well, having made all-county orchestra in 1998. In 2001, she gave up the violin for chorus in school. Vocal music is truly her passion and it has shown outside of school with her participation in the adult choir at church and helping with the children's choir. The year she was in eighth grade, the middle school orchestra was short on violas so Elise took it up and picked up the instrument rather quickly. Summer of '99 she participated in a technology camp for young women at IBM-Endicott. She is starting to be more sports-minded. She ran modified cross country and track in seventh and eighth grade and did fantastic!!!! She has decided that she is going to be a teacher and so we are looking at colleges that have elementary education. In the fall of 2004, she will be a senior at Maine-Endwell High School as well as a student at Binghamton University.
Susan is the 16 year old high school junior. She plays premier level soccer during the travel season with the BC United Blackout and is a starter on the varsity team at school for the third year. The varsity team had a fantastic 2003 season. They ended up the season in the state quarterfinals, playing on a field covered with snow. They took their division and hopefully played well into November.
Benjamin is almost 14 years old. He played Little League baseball for several years but this past spring took up tennis. He is on the middle school science olympiad team. The first year he competed, he placed second in the regionals in the fossil event and was on the team that went to states. In the 2003-2004 school year, Ben placed third in forestry and second in fossils at the regional level. He and his teammate took a state second place in Storm the Castle.
Danny is 10 years old and growing up all too fast. Soon he will be joining the rest of the family in activities and no longer be my baby. He played baseball in the spring of 2001 for the first year and has some definite talents. He continued with his baseball playing in the spring of 2002. In the spring of 2003, he wanted to try lacrosse but did not like that much. He played soccer in the spring of 2004. In October of 1997, he went to Myrtle Beach with his dad for 10 days. He loved the ocean and sea shells. He went back to visit with his dad at Christmastime of 2001. He is also very active in . He is a Webelo Two this year.
