Just Words

he doesn’t understand
they are just words to him
tho he tries so hard
they are always just words

his tone has changed
they are just words to him
he says it is no different
they are just words to him

they are scissors cutting thru me
they are just words to him
they are knives thrust into me
they are just words to him

i try not to wince
they are just words to him

the pain cuts so deep

honesty

honesty
the most important part of any relationship
when it is not there
can it ever be brought back
can you make things right
can you explain the untruth
will it matter
or is everything changed from then on

heartsong

we talk every day
we chat every night
will we ever see each other’s faces
will it ever be right

we want the best
we want what’s fair
will we ever hold each other tight
will we really care

the day has come
the road is long
we will see and hold each other
our true heart’s song
