Dear Mr Latch,
I have a Hummer Racing Steering wheel and PAL Commodore64 DTV. The colors seem to be faded and washed out. What happened and can it be fixed?

Dear Azul, During conversion of schematics from NTSC to PAL resistors in the Luma and Chroma sections were labeled wrong and/or replaced with common values instead of precision parts. On top of the resistors values, parts were removed for cost reductions and power consumption. Because of a rushed schedule production started for both Hummer and DTV without anyone who knew the C64 well enough to quality check the units for the factory.
Fixing the Luma: Change the 680 ohm resistors to 300 ohm, change the 330 ohm to 600 ohm and tie a 600 ohm to ground from the none driver side of the LSB's 600 ohm resistor.
Fixing Chroma: Swap 1k and 2k resistors and tie 2k to ground like Luma fix.
