Welcome to the website for my computer art. I have been drawing
as long as I can remember. I started doing animal drawings in 1973
when I began making drawings that could be made into block
prints for an annual holiday card. In 1988 I stopped making
block prints and simply took the line drawings to a print shop to
make the cards. This had a liberating effect on my animal drawings.
About a year ago, I began to embellish my drawings with computer
generated color in photoshop.
I have put up this website becuase I am raising money to support a very
needy man who would be destitute without financial support. This
man suffers from a long list of chronic debilitating physical ailments
which in turn are largely related to crippling levels of anxiety.
He needs about $300 per month of over-the-counter medications
which are not covered by supplemental social security or medical assistance,
and he is unemployable due to his anxiety level.
These images have been degraded in quality to ease the speed of loading,
and to allow viewing on regular monitors. If you
are interested in purchasing a print from an original high-resolution
image, please give me an
email at dubielzr@svm.vetmed.wisc.edu. Refer to the selected piece by
the number and I will print the image on white card stock. The
cost is $10 for each unframed print, plus $5 if I have to mail you
your order. Don't forget to include a mailing address in the
email. Mail the payment to me at 1645 Norman Way, Madison, WI,
53705. Make checks payable to Madison Friends Meeting. I
will mail out the piece on reciept of the payment.
About my art
These images are made by scanning in simple line drawings and coloring
the images in Photoshop to create a digital file. Some of
the images are extensively worked on the computer and some images
are modified by only a few mouse clicks.
