~  At age 12 Tracy had to decide if she should concentrate on being a goalkeeper or forward, a goalkeeping camp run by Tony DiCicco helped her decide.
~  Tracy had back surgery, spinal fusion, in high school (1989).
~  Tracy turned turned down Ivy league schools to go as a walk on at UNC.  She eventually beat out first team high school All-American Shelley Finger to become a third-team All-American as a junior and one of 12 finalists for National Player of the Year honors as a senior.
~  Prior to Tracy, UNC Coach Anson Dorrance played the No. 1
keeper almost all the time. That wasn't good for team morale or for preparing the No. 2 keeper in case of injury. Now, he alternates by the half. ''I credit her completely (for the change). It is a wonderful system,'' said Dorrance.
~  Tracy was UNC’s Most Improved Player in 1994 and the team Captain & MVP in 1995.
~  Tracy is extremely smart. She graduated from UNC in 1995 with a degree in biology and a minor in chemistry (2 subjects I have yet to figure out) and she also was an academic Phi Beta Kappa.  Must be nice...
~  One of Tracy’s best games was the 1994 NCAA finals versus Notre Dame in Portland, OR.  "No matter what they threw at me, I knew I was gonna get it.  That was a great game."
~  One of Tracy's biggest disappointments was being dropped from the alternate slot in the 1996 Olympics due to back injury
~  In 1998 during a practice in San Diego, Kate Sobrero & Tracy collided into each and Kate broke her jaw and Tracy did something to her pennial something.
~  Tracy was arguably one of the hardest training members of the 1999 WWC team and possessed the best kicking game of the goalkeepers.
~  Tracy celebrated her 26th birthday the day before the 1999 WWC Opening Ceremonies.
~  During the '99 WWC Tracy went to the mall & found a salon to bleach her hair. She had been contemplating on lightening it on her own, but upon the urging of her teammates she decided to "go whole hog and go platinum." It took two hours and $40. Afterwards, her teammates called her Billy Idol and her husband called her Peter Schmichael (a world class goalkeeper for Denmark and Manchester United).
~  Tracy missed the President's visit to the lockeroom after the USA vs Germany game because she was randomly chosen for the post-game drug testing... and she couldn't pee.

Other Miscellaneous Tracy Trivia...
~  The necklace Tracy can always be found wearing (black chord with silver charm) was bought in Australia in 1997 and her mom also has the same necklace (see the picture of Kathy above and you'll notice the necklace)
~  Tracy has 5 piercings, 3 in her left ear and 2 in her right ear. Her response to the suggestion of getting her tongue pierced is "OUCH!"
~  Favorite colors are Forrest Green and Carolina Blue
~  Favorite Number is 0 for "0 goals against" which she wore in college and which the ever popular Kristin DePlatchett currently wears
~  Car: a dark red Honda Civic EX with a soccer ball dangling from the rear view mirror
~  Dream cars are "any audi, BMW, a new Volvo, Range Rover, etc... not to picky... I'd be happy with a brand new Honda Accord EX"

~  Tracy loves dogs!  She wants a chocolate lab and a boxer, and if gets one possible names include Sienna, Sierra, & Monster.  And I hear that she is best buds with Tucker (The DePlatchett's dog) and when Tucker & Avery have babies she'll probably get one.  Bet you didn't think I knew that did you Tracy?  ;-)
~  As far as food goes, if I went to her house for dinner she would fix me Tofu.  (You think she is trying to tell me she doesn’t want me over?)  And she hates olives.  Her favorite candy is Skittles and her perferred type of gum is Extra Cinnamon and her fave ice cream flavor is Cherry Garcia.  Oh, and according to Robin Confer, Tracy fixes a lot of gourmet meals and bakes some super yummy white chocolate key lime cookies.  And Tracy's fave meal is Thanksgiving dinner - she loves it all.  And she really loves baking and has a killer
rice krispie treat recipe.
~  If Tracy was on "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" her life line would be her husband Chris.  She says he knows the answer to everything!
~  Tracy reads Backpacker Magazine
~  Tracy is Michelle Akers’s hand twin (ie. A Seinfeld episode and had-to-be-there story). And I wasn't there.
~  Tracy claims to be the ultimate HORSE (in basketball)
~  And Tracy is so not a tap dancer and not much of a baseball fan either
~  A friend of Tracy's says that she is a garden freak! . . . Tracy recently admitted to being a garden freak
~  I think Jarvis was Tracy's favorite original Survivor, although she missed the episode where he got booted
