Une nouvelle fois: 99.9% de ces méchant virus dont la description

alarmiste fait régulièrement plusieurs fois le tour du monde sont des=

attrapes couillons.

BUDSAVER.EXE is not a virus. It is a hoax. The "virus"

does not exist. There is currently no virus that has the

characteristics ascribed to BUDSAVER.EXE. It is a sham,

meant only to panic new or inexperienced computer users.

The hoax message includes the following "warning":

DANGER! VIRUS ALERT!

THIS IS A NEW TWIST. SOME CREEPOID SCAM-ARTIST IS

SENDING OUT A VERY DESIRABLE SCREEN-SAVER {{THE BUD

FROGS}}. IF YOU DOWNLOAD IT, YOU'LL LOSE EVERYTHING!!!!

YOUR HARD DRIVE WILL <<<kerblam>>> CRASH!!

DON'T DOWNLOAD THIS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!! IT JUST

WENT INTOCIRCULATION ON 05/13/97, AS FAR AS I KNOW!!

PLEASE DISTRIBUTE THIS WARNING TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS

POSSIBLE... BELOW IS WHAT THE SCREENSAVER PROGGIE WOULD

Ce message n'était pas destiné à engager une nouvelle =

polémique sur la liste Bruno, chacun en fait ce qu'il veux. Ce =

n'est pas du vol libre, mais c'est une information gratuite pour =

ceux qui comme moi ne sont pas des as d'informatique. Le monde du vol =

libre est à l'heure de l'informatique et malheureusement les virus =

existent. Je te remercie tout de même de me rassurer sur ces faux =

messages d'alerte qui font le tour du monde, mais mieux vaut être =

trop prudent que risquer de perdre un jour un disque dur parce que des =

cons se font du FUN à propager des virus. Voici une petite anecdote =

qui justifiera mon message trop alarmiste peut-être.

Dernièrement mon ami Normand Thibeault a été infecté par un =

virus qui se propage via les répertoires d'adresse de ceux qui en sont =

contaminé. Il se nomme Pretty Park.exe. Surtout si vous le recevez ce =

fichier, ne l'ouvrez pas et flochez le immédiatement.

Mon anti virus NORTON est réactualisé constamment et n'avait pas =

ce virus en mémoire.

Ce Virus infiltre un fichier VDX de Windows 98 ( fichier d'exécution =

de programme). Il parasite le fichier Files32.vxd qui est un =

exécutable de Windows dans system. Le nom du virus mute alors en : =

Win32trojan.Pretty Park. Impossible de s'en débarrasser (car il est =

en mode Windows) sans utiliser le mode DOS. Le hic c'est que le fichier =

Files32.vxd est nécessaire pour l'exécution des programmes. Si vous =

n'avez pas de fichier sain pour faire une transplantation c'est le =

formatage qui est la seule solution.

J'espère que vous ne serez pas victime de ce genre de virus de merde =

comme Normand. Moi j'ai reçu Pretty Park.exe sur Hot Mail le jour =

où Normand m'a averti. Heureusement, je n'ouvre pas de fichier =

joint si je ne connais sa source et la raison de sa présence dans un =

message.

Je me demande si un petit malin n'a pas infiltré les dieux de la =

météo avec un méchant virus ? Ces derniers jours ces dieux =

semblent fâché contre nous.
