Mark is one of the greatest Team Leaders in all of sports and he has 5 Stanley Cup Rings to prove it...Edmonton chose him in the 3rd round of the 79' entry draft which proves that the best players don't necessarily come from the top ten or 1st round...i.e. Mark Recchi 67th and Tony Amonte 68th in the 88' draft. He continued to lead the Oilers, after Gretzky left for LA, winning a Stanley Cup and then in New York he helped the Rangers end the longest Stanley Cup draught in NHL History bringing the Cup back to the Rangers in 94' after a 54 year absence. He spent a couple off years in Vancouver before returning to NY in 2000.
I'm glad to see him back in the Rangers Red, White & Blue!!!
