About the author A native of San Antonio, Texas, Arturo C. Vásquez II holds BA and MA degrees in English literature from The University of Texas at San Antonio. He currently lives and works in San Antonio, Texas. About the poems/prose poems Many of the poems featured in this site appeared in Vasquez's 1995 chapbook titled Evenings (Chile Verde Press). Others have been published in RiverSedge, Cactus Alley, The Paisano, &c. About the artwork The artwork (except photos) accompanying the poems (unless otherwise noted) is by Enedina Casarez Vasquez .The author's parents (Enedina and Arturo) have formed ENE-ART and, under that name, they produce folk art, jewelery, and home furnishings. It is also a special type of gold-woven fabric ... then there is Garcia Lorca's definition, but there isn't room enough here for that. "2112" is the title of an album by the Canadian rock-music group RUSH.
