Mary had a little Lamb, T'was born one starry night. She laid Him in a manger bed, And marveled at the sight. Shepherds left their hillside, To worship Mary's Lamb. They knelt in humble reverence, To this babe, "The Great I Am. And as a man, Mary's Lamb began His ministry. Teaching, healing, and miracles, He did for all to see. He said He was the way, the truth, the life They saw His love. Truly He was the Son of God, Sent from the Father above. He taught them we were separated, From our Father by our sin There'd have to be a saacrifice, A "bridge" ~ to enter in. So one day Mary's Little Lamb, Bore a cross up Calvarys hill. As men hurled insults & spat on Him, He just trudged on until. Collapsing on the hilltop, He'd reached His destination; And receiving the nails, In His hands and feet, Paid the price for our salvation. "Surely this was the Son of God," They said as His life diminished. As He breathed His last, His mission complete, He proclaimed to all, "It is finished." They buried Him in a sealed up tomb... Thought they'd silenced Him for good. But after three days, the stone rolled away, And there, the Son of God stood! Yes, Mary had a Little Lamb, Who washed us white as snow. If we accept His gift in faith, To Heaven we will go. And Mary's Little Lamb will go with us, Through life each day. From now 'til then, out lives He'll tend, For He's the life, the truth, the way. So will you take this gift of life, He gave on Calvary's tree? That Little Lamb is the King of kings, Who died, and reigns, for you and me. author: Margaret W.
