Duncraig House Bed and Breakfast
Tayport, Near St Andrews
Fife, Scotland
Duncraig House is an imposing Victorian house built on the banks of the River Tay for a Dundee "Jute Baron" in the latter part of the nineteenth century. Situated on the south bank of the estuary, in the charming former Ferry Port on Craig village, Duncraig House offers its guests the ideal starting point from which to tour the surrounding area.
Golfers in particular are spoilt for choice – Tayport is situated equi-distant from the championship courses of St Andrews and Carnoustie. The Open qualifying course of Scotscraig (13th oldest course in the world!) and the Scottish National Golf Centre of Drumoig with its highly acclaimed practice facilities are just round the corner.
Comfort and charm are the key words when it comes to choosing your accommodation at Duncraig House. The owners Alice and Bill Little will make every effort to ensure your stay is a truly memorable experience. Our home offers stunning views over the River Tay and the opportunity to relax in either the comfort of the well mature garden or the well appointed residents’ lounge with coastal views and Sky television.
Bedrooms are spacious and offer comfortable twin beds with tea/coffee making facilities, television and the use of private bath/shower rooms.
Start your day with a hearty Scottish breakfast served in the beautifully decorated dining room with adjacent sun patio. Ample off-street parking. A warm welcome awaits you whatever the reason for your visit to Duncraig House.
Prices: B&B £20-£30
