Horses
Horses have been a big interest for me since I was a little girl. And now I
have a little girl of my own. She's not even two years old and has discovered
the love for horses as well. What is it about these creatures that attracks
us so? I couldn't tell you. I do know that I think they are one of God's most
gorgeous creations and I would give nearly anything to be able to ride or own
one.
Breeds I like (or would like to OWN)
- Arabian-beautiful! Make great art subjects, though too small and spirited
for me
- American Quarter Horse- I like the stocky builds. Practical work horses.
- American Saddlebred- Love the way they pose with the tail raised and head
up high!
- Belgian Drafter-big work horses, calm, and beautiful.
- Clydesdale-I love big, and would LOVE to own one of these gentle giants!
- Friesian- beautiful black (usually) horses with lots of hair!. Tornado in
Mask of Zorro was a Friesian I believe.
- Gypsy Vanner-built like a drafter, black and white, but only around 14 hands.
BEAUTIFUL! Gypsy King is the horse that started my love for this breed.
- Lusitano
- Morgans-by request! I have little experience with them,but I met Montana
Harvest. Pretty Boy!
- Norwegian Fjord-roach their manes and that stripe comes through really nicely!
- Shire-big gentle giants
- Suffolk Punch-stocky almost "bull dog" like build. They are tested
by hitching them up to large fallen logs and making them pull. They are to
get down on their knees, not necessarily move the log.
- Tennessee Walker-nice smooth gaited horses
- Thoroughbred-I like to watch the races-gorgeous animals. Just don't think
I'd own one.
- Welsh Cob
