Shop For Her
Okay Guys, listen up. This is coming from a woman who has been there, done
that. I've gotten all sorts of gifts from men, and here's my list of what I
do/don't like to get.
Do's
- Put thought into what you're buying. Don't just buy it because its the first
feminine thing you see on the shelf.
- Buy something special or unique. If she likes butterflies, for example,
buy her a pretty butterfly ring or pendant. Or have a ring engraved for her.
Those types of things show that you put extra effort and thought (and yes,
money) into shopping for her.
- Buy her something that will last. Flowers and chocolates are so temporary.
- Don't buy a stereotypical gift. Things like: chocolates, roses, jewelry
are all nice but only if you put some extra thought or character in them.
Not something you could have bought for ANYBODY but special for her.
- Home made things are thoughtful, but (in my opinion) not appropriate for
all occasions. I prefer something from the store, personally.
- Don't buy a gift that will make her do more work (UNLESS she asks for it).
A vaccuum would be the worst stereotypical gift you could buy (unless its
THE vaccuum she's been wanting-then wait for her birthday, not anniversary).
