Management Comment August 2004

Our management team choose to remain anonymous until such time as the band improves considerably and the they will be in a position to claim the credit,

To date our management has been responsible for most, but not all of our gigs, particularly the ones we did actualy get paid for, which we arranged ourselves.

Management do however claim to have encouraged us to go out and get paid and have been good enough to keep their cut to 50%. They have assured us that we wouldn't get a better deal anywhere.

Management or "They who must be obeyed" as they prefer to be known, did actually name the band and have been responsible for paying for some of our equipment.

MANAGEMENT UPDATE OCTOBER 2005:

Hard to believe that after all this time the band still remain shite and management are unwilling to be publicly associated with a bunch of no hopes.
There have been a number of excuses put forward to justify various non appearances at planned gigs.

For instance, the ugly guys unfortunate accident when he broke his hand and the consequent swelling of this particular limb to approximately the same size as his arse. Believe it or not this accident did actually improve his guitar playing which has steadily deteriorated since the healing process set in...

Not to mention the drummers almost constant tantrums because he wasnt getting his own way. His response to this observation is a perpetual "a big boy did it and ran away".
"DORK" or what?

The Vocalist/Bass player leaves mush to be desired in both any form of talent or good looks. Management consider this character a particuler challenge but unfortunately an even greater challenge exists in the form of the band geek with his size 15 feet and obviously didnt go to spec savers.
What else can we say about Duress other than that we prefer to remain anonymous until such time as they actually achieve something.

We do however retain our interest in the band just in case someone wants to buy us out

MANAGEMENT UPDATE FEBRUARY 2007

You may have noticed that the management updates are just about as frequent as a Duress gig and you may ask yourself why.
Quite frankly, the easy answer is that the band are every bit as crap as they ever were. Management has seen no improvement in their performance but surprisingly and unbelievably a marked increase in their bookings, all of which they either have been or will be payed for.
Never thought it would happen but its good to be proved wrong.
Management are considering a restructuring of the band which is likely to include the introduction of a new name much more in keeping with their abilities.
We wonder what the two fans feelings would be in respect of the new band name revealed here for the first time.
" Four seriously ugly boys with no talent whatsoever, honest"
Recent performances have included the Big Gig, supporting Estrella at Skinandis, Duress at Skinandis on 23rd February,
two upcoming dates at the Black Stairs Lounge to be announced, Support band for Howlin Gaels at Redwood Thurso.
It all seems to be happening but it cant last.

Constructive criticism from our management team have included encouraging sounds such as "crap", "rubbish", "Who told you you can sing", "Get rid of the drummer", "Who is the old ugly guy" and "What role does moncur fulfill in this band" to name but a few.
Clearly we have a very astute and strong management team, long may we continue this association...

We will update our management section on a regular basis ( as they aways have a lot to say ) with the rest of the website
