Dusting The Stars

Paper Tigers

Paper tigers and faries
Much joy to a child they give
It is a shame when we no longer see them
And in a real world live.

Prejudice and hate
Shuts the window tight
Then the joys of childhood
Vanish from our sight

Lucky is the man
Who leaves the window ajar
And lets the child inside him live
To wish upon a star
