ACME  &  MINERAL HILL
                        ACME
Acme is located about 8 to 10 miles north of Sheridan on I-25.  It is on the east side of the Interstate.  It was a mining town.  there is still a working coal mine nearby.  Today, there are still remains of a mill, a bridge and many foundations.  When many of the mines closed down, the people moved back to Sheridan.  They took their houses with them, leaving behind many foundations.
                MINERAL HILL
Mineral Hill is located in Crook County. It is a half mile southwest of Welcome on private property.  It is said to be one of the best ghost towns of the Black Hills area.  There is still a mill here that occasionally operates.  Also remaining are about a half a dozen mine buildings on the east side of Spotted Tail Creek.  On the west side of the creek are about ten more houses a little bit higher up.  The town is completely deserted.
