Thursday, December 4th, 2003 - Well, That Was Easy

I have been praying and thinking about what to do for next semester ever since God has given me a heart to pursue a degree in Social Work. Duluth doesn't offer a Social Work major, so I have to transfer again at some point; the sooner I get into my program, the better. I wanted to do what God has planned for me, and it has been an awesome learning time to grow in patience as He has not let me know what I'm supposed to do for quite some time. Today, the answer came pretty clear to me.

I received the much anticipated mailing from UW-Eau Claire today. I opened it up and read the first word in the letter: Congratulations! My first thought was that I now was back to continued prayer since I had a choice in where to go. But then I read the next sentence in the letter: You are being admitted to the UWEC for fall 2004. Yes, that's right, FALL 2004. I applied for SPRING semester, and the main focus of my prayers have been whether I should transfer for the spring or the fall. God has clearly answered me.

My roomy suggested that I call the admissions office and clear it up. But I don't think I'm supposed to. I'm completely at peace with the decision to transfer next fall, and I strongly believe that this is what God wants for me. "But what if it's just a coincidence?" I have experienced God so much that I doubt that I even believe in coincidence any more. This made it an easy decision to make.

Today, I went outside! Like, into the outdoors - on the other side of these walls! For those who don't know, UM-Duluth's campus is all indoor (unless you get sick, then you have to go outside to the Health Building). I greatly enjoyed being outside for a little bit. I also got to try on a hat that I recently bought, so I discovered that just a little hat can give you so much warmth. A lot of heat really does leave through your head.
