Welcome to my web site!! My name is Lori and I am a small hobby breeder out of Bay City, Michigan. I have just a few breeding pairs, which allows me to hand raise each kit and spend quality time with every one. These are my pets and are treated as such-spoiled rotten! I may not always have kits available, so check back often or e-mail me to be placed on my waiting list. I also will take in surrenders if they need a good, loving home.
Chinchillas can be great pets, but are not really recommended for small children. They can be a very friendly and fun pet, but are not the "cuddly lap pet" like a cat. They are fairly easy to take care of. They need the basics of a good pellet diet, hay, water, dust baths and LOTS OF LOVE. They are chewers and will need lots of safe woods and chew toys. As much as you love them, they do not need many treats as it can make them sick. Wire bottom cages and shelves are a NO-NO because of their tender little paws.
