Grandkids and Teacups

Without realizing it, I started a tradition early-on with my first two grandchildren, Meagan and Elena.
These two beautiful girls were born one year apart. They were so similar to their mommies, my first two children, who were born only 14 months apart, that it was like a trip down memory lane!

As a young mother, the rigors of motherhood and the prospect of bringing up two young children as a single parent when my youngest was nine month old left little time for frivolities.

Well, life gave me a second chance to play with two beautiful girls and that's what we did--and still do!
We began a tradition of tea parties and hot chocolate that has lasted over the last 11 years and continues today.

We've inducted the new grandkids, Angel, Taylor and Vincent, one-by-one into our "teacup club."

Most sleepovers include a breakfast tea party and a before bedtime "hot chocy" wind-down over a bedtime story or favorite movie.
