It's finally out! I received this game as early as anyone did (I had it ordered), and already I have deducted some pros and cons. Pros include WAY better graphics, Create-A-Player mode is somewhat enhanced, and the commentary is a little less repetitive. The Internet Matchmaker's pretty cool for this game, too. But there's a few major cons as well. Let's start off with two I noticed immediately--no Practice Mode and no 3-PT shoot-out! This gave me a bummer because I couldn't check out the new post moves, and I'm sure it disappointed anyone who is new to the NBA Live gaming controls. Also, I discovered as soon as I had my first scenario (on the first day I got it), a 91-87 Denver-Minnesota game, that you can't save games! This really stinks. It means no Scenarios unless anyone can figure out how to do it! Looks like it'll mainly be Rosters, awesome pics, and Replays for a little while. Don't worry though, I have some AWESOME ideas for Rosters. In the meantime, I'll get workin' on some really awesome pics. The one on my front page is the first one I got, plus there are some more below. I think this was an off year for EA. Overall it doesn't rank much better than last year's, plus it was released two months after 2001 began instead of a month before, like it usually is. I'm certainly not saying, "Don't get it," however. It's very addictive, as it has great commentary and superb graphics. Well I'm sure I'm starting to bore you so here's some stuff for the game. Be sure to put some of these on your Desktop! And don't forget to enlarge these. They're great graphics! |
