Detroit West Suburban Delta Gamma
HISTORY
The Detroit Chapter became an association in 1910 and a chapter in 1920.

In 1963 the Detroit Chapter incorporated Dearborn to become the Detroit-Dearborn Chapter. 

The Farmington Group became an association in 1959.

The Detroit West Suburban Delta Gamma Chapter was formed in 1973 when the Detroit-Dearborn Chapter and the Farmington Association merged.

AWARDS AND HONORS





Oustanding Alumnae Chapter: the Detroit West Suburban Delta Gamma Chapter was awarded Outstanding Alumnae Chapter at the 2008 Convention.  This is the highest alumnae award a chapter can receive.  To qualify the chapter must have received the Alumnae Exellence Award for both years of the biennium. 

Alumnae Excellence Award: this award is given by region 4 for completing all requirements and goals.


Ranking of #9 in the United States for Service for Sight hours among alumnae chapters.





Delta Gamma offers to women of all ages a rich heritage, a continuity based on sound and tested principles of personal integrity, personal responsibility, and intellectual honesty.
