My Ft. Lauderdale Adventure!!
The plane departed LAX around 2 PM and didn't arrive in Tampa until 10 PM. It was
a 5 hour flight, but it seemed like it took
forever. Unfortunatly, I made the mistake
by assuming that Southwest would provide
food. I satisfied by hunger by filling up on peanuts. They called me "Peanut Boy".
My friend Carrie came to the airport to pick me up. From there it was a 4 hour drive down the 95 South. The hardest
part of the drive was seeing nothing along the way. Everywhere you looked, there was nothing but swamp and everglades. I didn't get the chance to see a crocodile. It I did, it would have been cool.
We arrived at Colleen's house early Friday morning and were greeted by the now offical mascot of GMBP, Eddie, the plot puppy! After dealing with some problems with our hotel, we finally got one (we
were kicked out of the old one) and stayed at the
Clarion. Later that night, we went to Incahoots for a few drinks, then departed to the NorthRaw Pub for some singing.
Saturday night, we had a BBQ a Colleen's.  It was an 80's party,
complete with snap bracelets, karaoke, and alcohol. We had a costume contest to get in the spirit of things. I dressed up like Tom Cruise from Risky Business. Carklie won the contest by dressing up as Cyndi
Lauper. She won the Horse's Ass Award. LOL. Although the party was fun, I had to depart early because my flight left at 8 a.m. Sunday I overslept and
made it inside the airport while everyone was boarding.
Ft. Lauderdale was a short trip, but the memories I had
and the friends I met will always be in my heart. =)
