The flowers that are in it
Are the sweetest and the best
To get into God's garden
They have to pass a test
He goes around them everyday
Treating them with care
You're really very fortunate
You have a flower there
And when you reach that garden
You'll look at it with pride
Knowing God, he'll probably put you
At your loved ones side
This is a poem that i found on the front
of a sympathy card that I was sending to
someone who had just had a bereavement.
It helped them come to terms with their loss.
The poem is by Alan Guest.
Peter is the father of my two boys, unfortunately our
relationship broke down because he had a drink problem.
However he
always declared his undying love for me,
which I am
greatful for. The drink did eventually kill him
leaving
many broken hearts. This poem describes in a
simple way
how I feel and that he is always in my thoughts.
Though your smile is gone forever
And your hand we cannot touch
We'll treasure all our memories
Of the dad we loved so much
Tribute to dad is a poem that my children
had placed
in the obituaries of our local
paper when
their father passed away.
