We went on holiday in Keswick with Mum and Dad at the end of July. We stayed with Lillian and Keith Davies at High Hill Farm, and Ted and Joan Johnson came for a few days too. We were really lucky with the weather, and had a lovely time, in spite of there still being some restrictions on footpaths, because of the continuing foot and mouth disease in the area.
I didn't take many photos (Joan and Ted do that better; see their Lake District pictures) just a few to commemorate the trip.
Here we are at the door of High Hill farm.
And here are Mum and Dad with Lillian and Keith.
Here we are on Cat Bells with Joan and Ted - Dad ducked out of this climb to go sketching at the lake side.
This is Ed studying his map on Maiden Moor, looking back towards Keswick.
Here's proof that Mum got up High Spy!
Saying goodbye on the last morning.
We bought one of Lillian's watercolours as a souvenir. Both Lillian and Keith Davies are painters, specialising in lakeland scenes. This one is "Clearing Storm - Derwentwater".
