As you can tell, life in this area is not easy. Although the Yellow River passes nearby, there is not sufficient water for this dry land, featured by the dry, yellow soil. We went there for a weekend to help plant some trees in the hope that some will survive and grow and eventually, there will be a positive change in climate. It's not easy, we know, but listen, here comes another song:
