Hi,

My name is Haskell Peaker.
I now live in Bakersfield, California after living four years in the small mountain town of Tehachapi, California.

Bakersfield is nice, but I do miss my mountain home.

My Lord, Jesus Christ, my wife Diana, and my family are the success stories of my life.

In addition to our own children, in the past, my wife and I have kept foster children. We cared for about thirty-five children, for long and short periods of time, over a twenty year period. Each child was very precious, and each, despite the sorrow of parting, exerted a powerful and positive influence upon my life.

I am a retired Deputy Probation Officer, and also retired from military service.

After serving for 14 years on active duty in the U.S. Air Force, I served for 9 nine more years in the U.S. Naval Reserve.

My military specialty was foreign languages. I have some knowledge of several,
including Russian, Spanish, French, German and Japanese. After retiring from the Kern County Probation Department I worked several years as a substitute teacher.

While in the Air Force I earned a Bachelor’s Degree, studying History at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. While on active duty I studied Russian at the University of Indiana, Bloomington, Indiana.

While working as a Deputy Probation Officer, I earned a Master’s degree in Public Administration from California State University, Bakersfield.
During that time, I also attended the Delinquency Control Institute, at the University of Southern California and several other training programs for investigators.

I am still learning about computers, and life, but hope to learn more so as to improve and add to this page and to the world.

Come visit me again soon, and please sign my guestbook. That is the only way I can know that you visited me.
