I was born on 3rd November 1977,in the city of Trivandrum
- the capital of Kerala - the most beautiful state in
India .My full is Alex .C.Punnen .Well to speak about India ,well
there is a lot to speak.It's a land of contradictions,but I have
hope in my country for we are on the right path and developing fast.Well so much about my country & now about myself.
Well as far as interests go I am interested in a lot of things.I am much
interested in the world around us, the skies ,the stars
,in short Physics the study of the Universe. So I did my degree in Physics
at St. Xaviers college Thumba.I am just fascinated by the great incomprehensible(as
of now) galatic structures and about the Dark matter.I don't believe much
in mathematical physics like string theory etc.I live in a three dimensional
space and I don't believe in 10 dimensional theories;let time be the
fourth dimension but I cant take no more than that.I believe that the greatest truths are simplest ; and so when you employ more and more dimensions and complexities in your mathematics to overcome problems it means only one thing-your basictheory is just not right.Thats just my view ,but I may be wrong.I had written a small book (as part of my degree project) about the Expanding Universe & The Big Bang.I would love to put it on the net but I hate typing.Anyway I strongly recommend The Lonely Heart of the Cosmos ( by Dennis Overbye) for those who want the details,like how exactly the distance to the stars where measured,how techniques are evolved,who measured it etc.Its a real
good book .It gives you a picture of how things are developed so you wont
feel awed by today's theories and technologies.
Well now I am studying Masters in computers,and I find it interesting especially
internet and digital communications. As for my other interests I love painting,music,designing
and all things creative.I play the flute but I dont have any scientific
coaching.When I get time perhaps I would learn.Well that's a bit about
me.
