~ A Message of Love ~
From Jasper Burns
You know I was there with you only for a little while,
Your love and friendship always made me smile.
Within your world ~ I hope I've left some good memories,
When you hear another's laughter, please remember me.
I left behind a lot of plans and dreams,
A fast running truck and a good looking Queen.
I hope you find them and a few dreams of your own,
Please, don't give up on life, just because I'm gone.
Treat each day as a gift ~ Live an extra measure,
Do that in memory of me and as a tribute to my Mother.
When you're dreaming of tomorrow, don't forget eternity.
That's when, some bright day, you're going to see me.
My prayer for each of you is that you hasten,
To heed the teachings of your teachers, pastor and parents,
So that one day you will see the wondrous beauty of Heaven.
As you think of me, you won't need to travel Cliff Drive,
Just lift up your eyes to God's beautiful sky.
I know you can see my smiling face,
Where I am cradled in Jesus warm embrace.
Follow His word ~ Daily do His will,
I am waiting for you ~ I love you still.

Jasper - He Wrapped Her Heart Around His Finger
By: Martha Anne Holt-Nichols
From the moment of his birth,
God opened up his mother's arms,
Her new baby filled them with joy and mirth.
Then He opened her heart,
Her little boy stole it.
He opened her mind,
That child captured it, bit by bit,
When He opened her eyes,
They were filled with his vision.
God opened her mouth, ~ She sang his praises and rejoiced.
When He opened her ears, ~ She heard his voice.
Little Jasper had a way of walking into your heart,
But somehow, he never walked out.
So it was with his Mother.
He wrapped her heart around his finger,
He has it there, yet.
He was the son every Mother dreams of ~ He was the best.
She gave him all the love she had.
Then God opened the doors to heaven,
Jasper walked in.
Because that was God's plan.
He only sent him to her for a while,
To spread happiness wherever he went.
When he had carried out God's mission,
She had to let him go ~ He will forever live within her heart.
She will ever cherish his memory & treasure his short presence,
He met his Mother's and God's every measure,
"His name was Jasper".

Jasper - Little Brother of Mine
Dedicated to his sister: Michelle LeAnn Burns
You always knew how to "Yank my Chain"
I tattled and told Mom you were always to blame.
Then you knew when to "butter me up,"
Bout the same time Mom would proclaim,
"Jasper Wayne, I've had just about enough."
When my friends and I wanted to go out on the town,
You were like my shadow, always hanging around.
When we were younger and I needed a smile and a hug,
You were out catching fireflies, critters and bugs.
When I was sure no one loved me. Who was it that came through?
It was you, Jasper, it was always you.
And where are you now, when my heart is breaking?
You're "hanging out" with our Savior, while with angels you're flying.
I'll bet you have the Saints eating right out of your hand,
Driving Saint Peter's chariot, kicking up gold dust all over heaven.
Chances are, you've already asked to blow Gabrielle's horn,
Always wanting to try your wings, do things you'd never done before.
You know I'm hurting, but one consolation I've found,
When you left me last Thursday, I had no doubt,
You were smiling and "Heaven Bound."
You know that I loved you like no other,
"Little Jasper" ~ God's newest Angel ~ My little Brother.
