Welcome to the beautiful city of Paris

Here Emily and I are at one of the most famous museums "The Louvre".

Above is a picture of the "Arc La Defense."  I think it was designed by Danish architect Otto Von Spreckelsen.  It is basically an office building for thirty thousand people.

The photo to the right is of Sainte-Chapelle.  The chapel has 16 stained-glass windows, and each piece represents a story from the Bible.

Here are two views of one of the most famous churches in the world, "Notre Dame".

To the left is the most well recognized monument in the world, "The Eiffel Tower".

Below is the "Arc De Triomphe". Napoleon promised his men after the Battle of Austerlitz in 1805, "You shall go home beneath triumphal arches."

To the left is the Grand Opera House of Paris built by Charles Garnier for Napoleon III.

Underneath the building is a small lake, which provided inspiration for the phantom's hiding place in "The Phantom of the Opera".

To the right is the beautiful white cathedral known as Sacre-Coeur.  It sits on top of the hill Montmartre.

Above is a view of Versailles that The Sun King, Louis XIV, might have seen on one of his afternoon strolls in his gardens.

To the right is the view in the opposite direction from the photo above.  It is looking out onto the enormous gardens behind Versailles. To make the canal appear straight it's entire length, it actually gets wider as it gets further away from the palace.

To the left is Emily and I in the grand Hall of Mirrors at Versailles.  It is also the location where, in 1919, the Treaty of Versailles was signed ending World War I.
