Equipment:

* WATERMAKER
    - Little Wonder - by Village Marine  (installed 11/01)

* ROLLER FURLING
    - Pro Furl with 135% genoa  (installed 2/01)
    - Pro Furl with staysail  (installed 8/02)

* WIND GENERATOR
    - Fourwinds II   (installed 3/01)
9/3/01 - We Love it!  When wind is around 15 knots, it supplies enough juice to enable us not to have to run our engine for 4 or 5 days.
10/5/02 - Since our generator had some warranty left, we called Everfair about the new brushless motors out now.  They said we could upgrade ours to the new motor and they would give us some credit for the warranty period.  They sent us the new motor and we returned ours to them.  The new one works great - actually better than the old one, we think.

* REFRIGERATION / FREEZER
    -  Sea Frost - DC5000; water-cooled 12 volt system  (installed 2/01)
9/3/01 - Working great.  Seems to average around 50 amps a day.  We've been cruising in cooler waters, so I'm sure this helps keep the run time down since its water cooled.
8/25/02 - Refrigeration has been working great.  Unfortunately we were getting some condensation under the sliding cabinet (the part over the freezer section) and behind the corner cushion.  So we had an extra inch of insulation to the side of the box and under the sliding cabinet.   Re-installed the refrigeration system and so far, things are working great....and no more condensation.

* WIND / SPEED / DEPTH
    - Raytheon ST60   (installed 2/01)
          - Installed on a pod over the compaignwaay

* GPS
       - Primary:  Raymarine C80 Chartplotter  (installed 9/08)
       - Secondary:  Garmin 76cx handheld   (purchased 6/07)

* RADAR
    - Raytheon RL70  (installed 2/01)

* AUTOPILOT
    - Raytheon Autohelm 6000  (installed 2/01)
9/3/01 - We're enjoying having all Raytheon instruments.  One of the great benefits of having everything integrated is that this allows us to set the autopilot to steer by the wind and enables you to view wind/speed/depth, etc. at multiple locations.
11/18/02 - Autopilot worked great for our 1500 nm passage from Hampton, VA to Tortola in the BVIs.  In fact it did 98% of the steering with no problem.  Went thru several days with gale force winds - a steady 40, with higher gusts - and it worked flawlessly.  Did notice upon arriving in Tortola that it seemed to be "sticking" when you tried to disengage it - put in standy mode.  We took it to Cay Electronics in Tortola to look at it.  They could not see anything wrong, but did grease everything inside.  Its now moving without resistence in standby mode and so we're back in business.

* INVERTER / BATTERY CHARGER
    - Heart / Freedom Marine 20  (installed 2/01)

* BATTERY MONITOR
    - Link 1000  (installed 2/01)

* BATTERY COMBINER
    - West Marine 150  (installed 2/01)
          * 5/30/01 - Discovered no charge was getting to the engine battery.   We think it's the combiner.  New one on
                             the way - we'll see if that fixes the problem.
          * 6/22/01 - Installed new battery combiner - problem solved.

* ALTENATOR REGULATOR
    - Balmar ARS-5 Regulator  (installed 6/07)
           * 5/1/01 - Replaced entire regulator because it had blown a fuse and diode and as a result, was no
                            longer charging the batteries.

* SINGLE SIDE BAND
    - Icom M710RT model 22  (installed 2/01)
9/3/01 - Found this to be a valuable tool to download weather faxes and keep up with other cruisers.  We like the radio.
8/25/02 - Purchased the Pactor II-e modem.  Now we're able to do email right from the boat via our SSB.  Using Sailmail as the provider.

* VHF
    - Standard Horizon Intrepid with DSC  (installed 2/01)
9/3/01 - Really like this model.  Especially the remote mic in the cockpit.  Unit comes with intercom capability which we use quite frequently.

* EPIRB
    - ACR RapidFix 406 with GPS

* WINDLASS
    - Lofrans Progress 1  (installed 2/01)

* STEREO
    - Jensen  (installed 2/01)
7/20/02 - Wouldn't recommend this stereo as the CD player in it is already starting to fail.  We went for the cheaper model when picking out the stereo to save some money - now we realize we should have spent a few extra bucks at the time to get a better one.  Oh well.

* PROP
    - Max Prop  (installed 2/01) - set pitch to 22
9/3/01 - Put in new shaft - 2 1/4 inches shorter.  Grease prop and changed pitch to 20.  Yet to determine definite differences between the pitch settings.
7/25/02 - We greased the prop and changed pitch back to 22.  Felt with the lower pitch we weren't getting the speed we should be getting and were having to run it at much higher RPMs.  We'll continue to analyze.

* BATTERIES
        - 6 volt flooded (qty. 6) for house battery bank   (installed 2/01)
        - 12 volt flooded for starting battery  (installed 2/01)
9/3/01 - Easier to maintain than we thought.  Found if we equalize them once a month, they maintain their charge more effectively.
10/23/02 - Found our batteries not holding a charge as well as we'd like.  Since we'll be leaving for the islands and will be relying heavily on the batteries, we decided to replace.  New ones working great.

* GROUND TACKLE
        - Primary anchor:  45 lb. CQR with 300 ft. chain
        - Secondary anchor:  44 lb. Bruce with 50 ft. chain; 200 ft. rode
        - Third anchor:  21 lb. Fortress

* TRANSPORTATION
        - Dingy - Avon 310 Rover inflatable - 10'2"  (purchased 10/00)
                     - Motor:  Nissan 9.8 hp  (purcchased 2/01)
                     -  With two of us and a litttle bit of cargo we can get on plane
10/5/02 - Replaced our Avon with a 9' Caribe light - hard bottom.  The Avon worked great and it was nice to be able to stow it down below.  But it was too long and interefered with our staysail so we wanted a smaller dingy.  Decided to go with a hard bottom since they seem to cut through the waves better giving a smoother ride.  Also, nice not to worry about a puncture or tear when pulling up on a rough beach.

        - Folding Bikes - Dahon Mariner

* WASHDOWN PUMP
        - Shurflo ProBlaster. Mounted in anchor locker with hose going over the side for a feed, works great! (installed 10/01)
8/13/02 - Motor went bad in pump.  Luckily we saved the receipt.  West Marine replaced with a new one since it was still under warranty.

* LIFERAFT
        - Avon Offshore 4 Man in a Valise. Can be stored on deck for short period of time since it is vacuum packed to protect it from moisture
