Who is created the Early Angel Project?
My name is Raynor, I am a 23 year old married mother of two beautiful baby girls. I am the the founder of the Early Angels Project.

Why was the Early Angels Project started?
When I had just taken up knitting I started looking for different projects to do on the internet. One day I stumbled upon a site which knitted baby garments for premature babies, which I thought was a very special thing to do for parents who had very premature babies or sadly stillborns. The more I read into the subject the more I realised the great demand for these types of garments as some of these babies are so tiny its difficult to find items to fit them, so sadly they often go without any clothing. Also as premature babies are born so early and so unexpectedly the parents often have either no clothing at all or nothing suitable enough to fit their tiny babies.
From this I wanted to help other to help others do the same for their own local babies units, by providing things such as hints, tips and free patterns. Also a place where other can find information on where to pass on their crafts to hospital either locally or UK Wide.

How can I help?
Unfortunately due to time commitments Early Angels is no longer looking for volunteers to send us their knitted garments. If you would like to donate knitted items for charity please check out the 'Loving Hands' charity group at www.lovinghands.org.uk  they have members from all over the UK and donate a variety of knitted items to a variety of charities and they are always looking for volunteers.
