Identification: Willys M38

This is a Willys M38 (also known as MC), the military version of the Willys CJ3A. More than 60.000 were built from 1950 till 1952/53, and it was also produced in Canada by Ford. Military desegnation G740. Here are some key-features to quickly identify it: - headlights before grill (note headlightprotectors in the pic); - grill has 7 slots; - windowframe has airvents, with one-piece windshield; - tankfillerhole on leftside; - ax & shovel mounted on passengers' side; - electrical system 24 Volts; - same engine as MB (with some minor differences); - casting number on engine head: 800376 or 804392; - casting number on engine block: 641087
