The Ratings System
Like most movie reviewers I came up with my own quirky rating system for my reviews. I chose cat treats as my off-beat symbol for how good or bad a movie is. Why? I thought of it on the fly and there was a cat in the vicinity. The movies are rated on a scale of one to five as follows:
1 - wretched |
2 - s'okay |
3 - decent; standard movie |
4 - good stuff |
5 - excellent |
So a 5 treat movie would be one to watch again and again, while a 1 treat movie would be a penance for past and future sins. All movies, good or bad, are rated on the same scale. They're not rated on the same criteria, but I didn't want to come up with two scales when one would do.
Some movies also have a * next to them. This means they weren't an MST episode.
Additional note: some of the Rinkworks reviews have an email link on them. Don't use it. I dropped that address a couple of years ago when Netaddress decided to charge for basic email service. If you feel you must contact me, the second row of bats is a link to my current email.
