WHO IS THIS REUNION COMMITTEE ANYHOW? |
The East 86 Reunion Committee is made up of the following members: Denise Marra Depekary, George Beronio, Jen Meisenbacher Molzen, John P Rooney, Lori Parlin Palfreyman, Pam Southard Kelliher, Rich Spiegel, Sharon Clark Levin,Wendy Hnat Wildman |
A Community Fund for the Bridgewater-Raritan High School East Class of 1986 In an effort to strengthen Class unity - and to establish a legacy we can be proud of - we are taking the opportunity of this major reunion to establish a permanent Community Fund in the name of the class...a fund to be known as East 86 Cares. What is the East 86 Cares Fund? In short, we're aiming to develop a standing, professionally-managed investment pool, that would live & grow between reunions, out of which we can direct some goodwill (that is, make periodic monetary grants) to causes that are important to our members & to us collectively. Why are we doing this? The occasion of a reunion can't help but make us pause & take stock of how time & fate treats everyone differently. The Fund serves as a way to represent the Class physically - especially since the high school building can't anymore - and to embody our shared value of continuing (even 20 years later) to look out for each other & the broader communities in which we live. How can I be involved? If you'd like to make a contribution to the Fund, see the information below. (Contributions are fully tax deductible & eligible for employer match.) Make a proposal for a worthy grantee. Sign up for the Fund committee. Contributions to East 86 Cares may be made: - by check, payable to "PACF-East 86 Cares" and sent to East 86 Cares, c/o PACF, 15 Princess Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648 - by credit card online at: www.justgive.org/giving/donate.jsp?charityId=12095. Be sure to enter "East 86 Cares" under "Designate my donation." (Please note that the credit card company will charge East 86 Cares a 3% transaction fee.) So far we've raised approximately $3000. Our first donation will be to a charity set up in memory of Matt Shrodo by his parents. See more information below. |
