In the next picture on the right, you can just make out the bolts on the back panel. Each bolt is drilled and secured with a nut on the inside.
The hinges for the top back deck plate were made from sheetmetal and also work.
In the next picture on the lower left, you can see the 1/6 scale tank commander lifting the tool box. The tool box was made from sheetmetal and formed on the the bench using a ball peen hammer. The ends were then soldered together with a small torch. The handles still need to be made and installed on the toolbox. Dick Bernier of East Pac made the drivers hatch door. The piece is cast in resin, the viewport hatches at the top of the hatch door also work.
In the next photo on the right, you can see an eariler shot of the rear of the tank, the hinges for the back acces door have been made but not installed at this point. The back access plate will also work to allow partial access to the inside of the tank. The mufflers also be used to direct exhast from the chainsaw motor planned for use in this model.
The bottom two pics show a different angle of the front of the tank and in the photo on the right you can see the shock absorbers mounted. These were designed and built by James Miller of East Pac. Whist not scale to the model they are very functional and needed for a working suspension. You can also see a small portion of the motor I intend upon using in this model, more picts of this can be seen in the drive section.
