News:

* HKLegends...

have a great line-up of films to be released in the near future. Of notable interest are FULL uncut (in the UK anyway) releases of Fist of Fury, Way of the Dragon and Game of Death.

Also scheduled for release in 2001/2 are kung fu titles made by the studio, 'Seasonal'. They include: Legend of a Fighter, Secret Rivals, Secret Rivals 2, Dance of the Drunk Mantis and Snuffbottle Collection. WOOHOO!!!!!!!!

Also coming soon are dvd releases of Eastern Condors and Battlecreek Brawl. Unfortunately both of these films will be cut for UK release. Eastern Condors will have the scene where Yuen Biao rips a snake in half removed, while a 'double ear clap' has been excised from Battlecreek Brawl. The double ear clap looks like being the proverbial nunchaku of the 21st century...

Note: a double ear clap was also removed from the UK vhs/dvd release of Hollywood movie, Mystery Men...

*From Eastern Heroes et al...

Eastern Heroes have released Raiders of Wutang on dvd. Unfortunately the dvd is English dubbed fullscreen only (the dvd was advertised as consisting of both widescreen and fullscreen version and like their release of Dr Wai, EH have blown it again...: ( Further English Language, full screen releases include Nine Demons and Iron Monkey strikes back. Anyone seeing parallels with Eastern heroes dvds and the dvds produced by Tai Seng?

Upcoming from EH is their 'special edition' of Fantasy Mission Force (hardly a film to deserve a special edition) and Hitman in the Hand of Buddha.... M.I.A HK Classics have re-released Bruce Lee: The Man, the legend on video so look for the dvd release soon. The re-release is fully uncut under new BBFC guidelines so I feel sorry for those who bought the first (censored) release...A company has released many HK ninja movies into the dvd market (most of which star Richard Harrison and are directed by Godfrey Ho). If you've ever seen a HK ninja movie starring Richard Harrison, you'll know to stay away from these. Anyway they're unremastered with fullscreen picture and an English dub.
