EB-66C SPARE
Many missions required that an EB-66C be part of the mission package.  The limited quantity of these aircraft made it necessary that a ground spare be used instead of an airborne spare.  The spare crew waited in their aircraft until the primary aircraft was airborne and the equipment was determined to be operational.  Because the temperature inside the spare aircraft was excessive in the tropical sun, C Spare was not desirable duty.
