Magic Knight Rayearth is about 3 teenage girls who are summoned to Cephiro (another world) by a captive princess to save the kingdom from evil monsters and the Lord Sagato. There's Shidou Hikaru, Ryuuzaki Umi, and Hououji Fuu. Hikaru has fire magic, Umi has water magic, and Fuu has wind magic.
The thing about this anime is that their magic comes from their will. The stronger their will is, the stronger their magic gets. The three knights face many trials and monsters that test their friendship and faith in each other.
