Echelon Destined To Dance "Tia" |
Tia was the first born puppy born at Echelon, and actually made her debut in the car on the way to the vet for a possible c-section! Of course, with her "on-the-road" arrival, the c-section was unnecessary, and the rest of the whelping went off without a hitch! She is a very sweet, mild-mannered little girl, and loves to curl up on laps for a nap or just cuddle. Although she was pick of the litter, Tia didn't have a show career. Slow to mature, I showed her sister, Zin, while Tia waited at home. When I decided to show her at the age of 2.5, Tia made it very clear, that the show ring was NOT where she wanted to be. Sadly, Tia started spilling sugar in February of 2005. Although her blood tests are inconclusive right now, it is strongly possible that she is in the early stages of fanconi. Per the advice of my vet and Dr. Gonto, we have started Tia on a minimal version of the Fanconi Protocol. |

Tia's Health Information EYES: One eye clear, one eye single strand iris-iris PPM 5/01 (At that time PPM in basenjis would not CERF -- rules changed Jan 02 that allow for minor PPM to still get CERF. So, Tia's eyes did CERF, but she has no number.) Fanconi Status: Spilling sugar 2/05 -- started on minimal version of fanconi protocol. |
