They are the two gnomes that help Atreyu on his quest. After Falkor rescues Atreyu from the Swamps of Sadness, Urgl nurses him back to health. Once he is well, Engywook, a scientist, shows Atreyu how to get to the Southern Oracle, which he has been studying. These two characters, who lives in a cave, argue constantly, in a very humerous way.
