It is a medieval romance that focuses on the love that develops between Molly Danzig (pretty, young, near-virgin) and Prince Ulric (lascivious, young, warrior-hunk). In a brief encounter, Ulric is so impressed by Molly's beauty and courage, he decides to buy her. Several years ago now, I was appalled by the outcome of the sensationalized "trial of the century" and by the horrible crime that led up to it. That was when I first recognized that the phrase "American justice" is an oxymoron.
