VENETA — A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 15, at Springfield Seventh-day Adventist Church for Allen Everett Ackley of Veneta, who died March 5 following a heart attack. He was 56. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Home, Junction City. A potluck reception will be at the church following the service.
He was born May 13, 1951, in Hood River to Delbert and Arlene Binford Ackley.
He served in the U.S. Naval Reserves. He worked as a millworker and truck driver.
Survivors include two sons, Jeromy Willden and Steven Ackley, both of Bend; his former wife, Linda Ackley Swanson; his father, of Eugene; two sisters, Delcine Gregory of Kalispell, Mont., and Jackie Stockton of Mexico; two brothers, Claude of Eugene and Delbert of Spokane; and three grandchildren.
