Ritual:

Cast the circle in your usual manner, throwing seeds as you go around to mark the boundries.  Call the Goddess and the God (eat the God/Goddess eggs as you call them, if desired):

"Eostar and Persephone are the Goddesses of Spring.  Eostar is the Goddess of the dawn, representing new beginnings and rebirth.  Her sacred animal is the rabbit, which represents fertility and abundance. Persephone is the Goddes of grain and growing things, in the spring she returns fromt he underworld to reawakend the Earth.  Eostar and Persephone, we welcome you."
"The God of Spring is the young God.  Born at Yule, nurtured at Imbolc, he is now the young and mischeivious child, wild and untamed. He is the Coyote, the Raven, he is the Fool and Robin Goodfellow.  Young God of spring, we welcome you."

Now read or tell the story of Demeter and Persephone.  As Persephone goes underground, pull the blanket over your head(s).  When she returns to the outerworld, pull the blaket off and bask in the sunlight. Then get up and dance around the circle singing
"Persephone, Persephone, Maiden of the Spring time,
Now's the day, you know the way to climb back toward the Sunshine"
(From "Circle Round" by Starhawk, Anne Hill & Diane Baker)
and banging drums to awaken the Earth and help Persephone find her way out.  Send any excess energy to the plant on the altar.

Now take the Earth egg out of the nest.  Break it in half to show the sun inside.  We ask the sun to shine down on the earth and on ourselves, bringing fertility, prosperity and beauty to our lives.  Now eat the egg, symbolizing that we are all -Earth, sun, people- connected.  Also representing fertility are bunnies.  We pay homage to them by having a chocolate bunny on the altar at this time of year.  Eat the bunny at this time if you desire.

Now is the time to scry with runes for the coming turn.  Then eat the cakes and wine and close the circle in the usual manner.

Blessed Be!
