Eden Falls
FAQ
Eden
Falls was a complex and confusing game to watch. This
FAQ has been prepared as a companion to the game summaries
which will be released shortly. If you have a question
not answered here, please email foggo1@msn.com
and we will endeavour to add your question and a meaningful
answer here.
What is
Eden Falls?
Eden Falls was an online game, created by a number of
talented and creative individuals. It was specifically
planned with the hope of a large and varied cast, and we
certainly got that.
Who
were the people behind Eden Falls?
Simone,
Darren, Melinda, and Kevin O, were all involved in the
development of challenges, rules and websites for the
game. However there were other contributors we would
like to acknowledge. Rob W and John A, who
moderated the boards, and acted as both a support and a
cheersquad. Brian M, Ryan C and Alan also
contributed their time and helpful advice.
How did
Eden Falls work?
84 People signed up to role-play as a community, a small
town, under attack from an enemy within, a secret
organisation known only as the Dogs. A preset number
of people were selected under highest secrecy to undertake
double roles, and through a Day/Night Cycle, go about
exterminating the townspeople.
Who was
the Secret Agent?
The Secret Agent was a fly in the ointment for the
Dogs. Their primary purpose was to tip the scales in
favor of the town. If the Secret Agent was killed,
another person was selected by the Host to assume that
role. The Secret Agent was also sometimes incorrectly
referred to by the townspeople as the Sniper. This was
incorrect, as the SA actually had far more tools at their
disposal than just the shots in their rifle.
Who was
the Angel?
The Angel had a single purpose in the game, and that was to
make a choice come NIghtfall, to protect one house of people
in Suburbia.
Who was
LOM?
LOM was a creation of a number of people in the game, part
crazy conspiracy, part insanity, but mostly just that the
actual person who would turn up spouting dire predictions
really didn't want to accept they were dead to the game.
Who was
Aidan O"Malley?
Aidan
O'Malley, also known as the Hitman, or the Celtic Cleaner,
was introduced about 3 weeks into the game, as part of a
twist. His role was to be hired by a lucky townsperson
to assassinate a person of their choice. He then left
town. He was not one of the 84 townspeople who started
the game.
What is
all this about a Hotel Room?
What did it mean to be in Suburbia?
Why was the Alley so bad?
When the
townspeople were set a challenge, their results were used to
determine who would gain total safety in the Hotel, and who
would be in Suburbia (low death rate) and who would be left
in the Alley (high death rate).
