Eden is a home-based, CKC registered, family kennel located 1/2 hour south of North Bay, in the Nipissing / Parry Sound, Ontario district.

As the Golden Retriever was originally bred to be a sporting dog, we strongly believe today's Goldens should still maintain this working ability. To ensure our lines retain the proper Golden Retriever characteristics we actively participate in Conformation, Obedience, Hunt Tests and Tracking with our dogs. At Eden our puppies will range in color from light to dark gold. To ensure we are producing high-quality purebred puppies we use carefully selected, physically and temperamentally sound parents, which are hip/eye/heart certified. We take great pride in that all our puppies are raised with attention to detail!

Our puppies are born and raised in a quiet room until their eyes and ears open. We then move the puppies to the Kitchen so that they may fully experience the hustle and bustle of everyday family life and to build up their socialization skills. By six weeks of age we begin to introduce the puppies to a crate so that we may re-inforce their crate training as being a positive experience prior to going to their new homes.

All our puppies are C.K.C registered on a non-breeding contract, micro-chipped, and Vet-examined with their first vaccinations and second de-worming. We provide a puppy package which includes: written health guarantee, 6 weeks of PetPlan puppy insurance up to $750.00, copies of the parents clearances, 4 generation pedigree, puppy birth data sheet, feeding instructions, a copy of the C.K.C. breed standard, as well as health care and training information. To ensure the perfect puppy is matched to the right family our puppies are temperament tested at seven wks of age by an independent person in a place that is foreign to the puppy. We then go over this in detail with the new family and provide them with a copy.

As we strongly encourage any activities, which will promote the well being of purebred dogs, we insist on formal obedience training and also include applications forms to the C.K.C. and the G.R.C.C.
