Nova Scotia

It is Nova Scotia's beauty,
That makes people want to sing,
The poet want to write,
And the artist want to paint.
The rugged coast and salty sea,
Haunt you to your soul,
And echo stories from within,
Waiting to be told.
Of great tall ships, and fishing boats,
And ghosts of yesterday,
Though lost at sea, their spirits walk,
The beaches and the bay.

The valley of Evangeline,
Carves another scene,
Where apple blossoms, compliment,
The rolling hills of green.
Your eyes behold the beauty of plush fields,
And flowing streams,
You gaze in awe, and marvel,
At the wise Creator's schemes.

The Highlands of Cape Breton,
Tell a story of their own.
Then winding down the Cabot Trail,
You hear the bag-pipes drone.
Yes, here in Nova Scotia,
So beautiful, so rare,
The changing scenes, will always bring,
A joy beyond compare.
