A Little Note
One day he received, a little note,
From someone which said, "I care",
It read, "you are in my thoughts today,
And I'm asking a special prayer,
That God above will hold your hand,
And grant you peace and love."
It was simply signed, with these few words,
"From a friend, of The Friend above".
As he read the words before him,
His tears began to fall,
For he was in the depths of despair,
And going to end it all.
He whispered up a thankful prayer,
For the one who had sent the note,
For though he was sinking deep within,
At once he began to float.
Yes, God had performed a miracle,
In his life that way,
Now, he's passing it on to other folks,
With a note and a prayer each day.
So you never know, whose life you'll save,
With a kind word and a prayer,
For sometimes, we all need to know,
There's someone, who really cares.
