Wayne County, Tennessee

16 Jan 1838 John Hooser to William Hawk conveys the plantation where Hooser now lives, one black mare, one cow and calf, and 30 head of hogs to secure debt to A. B. Gant in amount of $64.00. Witnesses: J. B. Morris, Harrison Christian, and Phillip Shull. (Deed of Trust, Wayne County, Tennessee, dated January 16, 1838, filed February 13, 1838, Deeds Book B, page 585.)

25 Nov 1848 ALDARINE HUGHART and husband EDWARD HUGHART to JOHN HOUSER, WILLIAM HOUSER & N G BUTLER, jointly, $926.00, 463 acres to be taken out of tract on which I live of 1200 acres, the 1200 acres being Aldarine's as her separate property, 339 acres & 124 acres being hereby conveyed. HOOSER, to JAMES M HAYS 110 acres deed to tract 8 miles E of N from Clarksville on waters of Pecan bayou, being part of headright of EDWARD HUGHART, known as part of 463 acres sold by HUGHART to us, and also as survey of JAMES R GIDDINS for $330. 4 Sep 1857 JOHN HOOSER, WILLIAM C. HOOSER, AND MARTHA G. BUTLER, indenture for the sale of 58 acres, 40 acres, and the 14 acres on which N. W. Hooser now resides of the described land to DANIEL M.   1. "William Houser" is William Cain Hooser (<John Hooser). 

  2. "N. G. Butler" is Nathan G. Butler, who is listed as head of family 201 on the 1850 Census for Red River County as John's neighbor, a family man, and tenant farmer originally from North Carolina. 

  3. "Daniel Hooser" is Daniel Marion Hooser (<John Hooser).

  4. "N. W. Hooser" is Newton "Newt" W. Hooser (<John Hooser).
