1. Aethelgifu, meaning Noble Gift from aethel (noble) and gifu (gift).

History:
Both the Old English names of Aethelgifu and Aelgifu were found until the 13th century (often Latinized as Elveva, or Frenchified as Alieve).
Elgiva was revived in 19th century, but it did not catch on.
